You may want a week away from a fictional story without losing it. You may want to discard a failed conversation and begin again. Or you may want to remove your account and associated personal information. Those goals require different actions.
The comparison between Dreamle and Infatuated is clearest when it follows those objects: session, chat and account. A statement about the AI remembering a conversation is not the same as a server-side deletion commitment. This review checks published documentation on October 16, 2026; it does not report a completed deletion request.
If you expect to return, avoid a destructive substitute
Infatuated’s FAQ says conversations can be remembered after a session closes, but not after the chat is deleted. That is useful operational guidance for taking a break: closing the session is different from deleting the conversation you intend to revisit.
Dreamle’s privacy notice does not provide an equivalent scene-recall guarantee. Its retention statements address personal information and business purposes, not whether the model will retrieve a particular fictional event when you return. Do not infer story continuity from the fact that a provider retains some data.
Before leaving a project you want to continue, preserve a concise accepted-state note and any original passages or images you need. That is a copy you control, not evidence of an official export format or an automatic import into another service.
Match the goal to the object
| Your goal | Relevant object | What the sources establish |
|---|---|---|
| Pause and return to the same story | Session and existing chat | Infatuated distinguishes closure from chat deletion |
| Discard one conversation | Specific chat | Infatuated says deletion ends that chat’s remembered continuity; it does not equate this with account-wide erasure |
| Leave and request personal-data removal | Account and associated data | Both privacy policies provide a rights/request framework, with scope and retention qualifications |
| Stop future billing | Subscription/payment arrangement | Do not treat a privacy request as proof that recurring billing has been canceled |
Deleting a chat to correct one wrong fictional date would discard a different object from the one that needs repair. Conversely, merely closing a tab would not perform an account deletion request. Identify the goal before selecting a control.
What each account policy actually promises
Infatuated’s September 13, 2024 privacy policy offers access, correction and deletion requests by email. In its EEA rights section, it says a GDPR account-deactivation/purge request leads to deletion of all account data within 90 days. Keep that jurisdiction and request scope attached; the paragraph should not become an immediate, worldwide chat-erasure claim.
Its general retention section also allows information needed for continuing business or legal purposes and explains handling of backups. The published text therefore needs to be read as a whole. A reader can ask support which records fall within the account purge and what exceptions apply to their request.
Dreamle says an account-termination request results in deactivation or deletion of the account and information from active databases. It separately reserves certain records for fraud prevention, troubleshooting, investigations and legal obligations, and discusses isolation of backups until deletion is possible. It does not state a matching fixed completion period in the reviewed notice.
Dreamle’s notice also contains unfilled location and contact placeholders. That reduces the clarity of the disclosure; it is not proof of a particular storage country. Verify the working request destination before sending account-identifying information.
Make a request that can be answered
Name the desired scope: “Please remove my account and identify how uploaded sources, generated media, chat history and backups are handled.” Include only the account identifier and verification information the provider actually needs. Preserve the request date and response so you can distinguish acknowledgement from completion.
If keeping a story matters, save the material you need before requesting its removal. If leaving the service matters, separately confirm the current subscription’s cancellation route. Neither deleting a conversation nor emailing a privacy contact should be assumed to settle every account and payment obligation.
Infatuated provides the clearer published distinction for pausing versus deleting a chat. For account removal, it publishes a more specific time statement in the cited GDPR context; Dreamle describes active-database removal and exceptions without the same fixed period. Choose based on that stated scope, then obtain clarification where your own account or region requires it.
